I was really excited when I discovered that PBS had a program dedicated to artists in the 21st century. That is, I was really excited until I started watching it. After the first season I figured that each episode would be divided into four kinds of individuals...
- The Weirdo
- The Not Really An Artist More Like an Idea Person
- The Hack
- An Actual Talented Artist
A 1 out of 4 ratio really isn't worth my time. I don't know. I consider myself pretty far out there, and I know when I'm being had. I feel this program not only highlights the reasons why modern art is important, but why most people hate modern art. See for yourself, I'm curious to know what you think about it.
